How Do Families Understand Psychosis in Their Loved Ones? a Phenomenological Analysis of Meaning Making in Families of Patients with Psychosis

Abstract
This phenomenological study examined meaning making in caregivers (n=12) of patients with psychosis, primarily looking at carers’ experiences of the illness, treatment and relational dynamics. Results were indicative of emotional trauma in carers.
