Abstract

This study examined the role of optimism/pessimism in the relationship between loneliness and negative affective conditions (i.e., stress, anxious & depressive symptoms, & hopelessness) in a sample of 415 Polish college students. The indirect effect of optimism/pessimism on the relationship between loneliness and negative conditions was found to be significant.
