Perceived Wellness from a Midlife Perspective Using a Four-Factor Model

We surveyed 269 midlife adults using the Perceived Wellness Survey to determine differences from previous research using other developmental cohorts. Results of an exploratory factor analysis indicated a four-factor solution (i.e., Affiliative Security, Pessimism, Cognitive Competence, and Physical Wellness). Overall, the four factors overlap with other dimensions of successful aging.
