The Determinants of Mathematics Skills: Parental Influences, Basic Cognitive Building Blocks and Emotional Factors
Individual differences in mathematics knowledge are present from early childhood and they can persist into the school years and adulthood. The symposium focusses on the origins of these individual differences, including the effect of the home learning environment, basic cognitive skills, mathematics anxiety and cognitive control.
