The Impact of Cognitive Styles on False Beliefs
People hold an assortment of oddball beliefs, such as conspiracy theories and untrue medical theories, that they have little to no evidence to substantiate. This symposium explores cognitive styles underlying false beliefs and describes interventions that can be used to combat and update these beliefs.
