Music and Rhythm as Remedial Tools for Improving Reading in Dyslexia: From Auditory Processing to Effective Intervention Approaches

Friday, March 8, 2019 · Paris, France

Cognitive Science

The aim of the symposium is to address the use of music for dyslexia rehabilitation. Evidence showed that dyslexia-related difficulties are associated with an impairment in the perception of temporal acoustic components. Accordingly, it was proposed that musical activities could improve temporal processing skills, thus ameliorating phonological and reading difficulties.
