Grounding Language in Neglected Sensory Experience
Embodiment argues for sensorimotor activation during language comprehension. Yet, most studies focus on the dominant senses of vision and audition. In this symposium we explore research on mental simulation in more neglected sensory experiences, such as smell, taste, and pain. What can we learn from language describing lower sensory experiences?
