Making Lemonade: The Sweetness of Her Existence, the Sour of Her Oppression, and the Magic of Her Evolution
Making lemonade is synonymous with methods of surviving oppression at various points in our existence as Black women and girls. This elixir helps assuage a history of gendered-racism embedded in predominantly White academic and healthcare settings. This symposium explores generational trauma, healing practices, and culturally relevant interventions for practicing professionals.
