Effective Active and Experiential Learning Exercises for Positive Psychology
- Dina Gohar

Abstract
Active and experiential learning exercises for teaching positive psychology are provided. Experiencing the immediate broadening impact of positive emotion during an in-class experiment enhanced students’ understanding of Fredrickson’s (2001) foundational theory. Undergraduates who wrote critical reflections after practicing empirically-supported exercises reported improved learning and higher-level thinking, and positive life changes.
