Abstract

The current study examines the development of grammatical markers in 338 Mandarin-speaking children producing multiword utterances. Children's mean longest utterance and vocabulary were more strongly related to markings than age. These data allow researchers and clinicians to provide fuller perspectives on how grammar and vocabulary work together in language development.
