Abstract

This study examines the relationships between growth-mindset (GM), school-belonging (SB), and hope to several academic variables, revealing that GM and SB meaningfully predicted behavioral engagement, academic self-efficacy, and curiosity, but not achievement, academic self-regulation, or educational expectations. Further, hope meaningfully predicted five of the six variables beyond GM and SB.
