Abstract

Eye-tracking technology was used to examine young children’s viewing of pictures during auditory stories with accompanying questions. The results showed that 5.0+ year olds spent significantly more time viewing pictures that were consistent with the story than pictures that were inconsistent. However, < 5.0 year olds did not.
