Viewpoint Diversity in the Teaching of Psychological Science

Abstract

There is a need for greater viewpoint (political and philosophical) diversity in the teaching of psychological science. The argument for greater viewpoint diversity is made here and pedagogical approaches that enhance viewpoint diversity are reviewed. Such approaches will enhance critical thinking and perspective taking for students of psychology.
