Perception of Emotions in Speech in Adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): The Relative Roles of Prosody and Semantics

Deciphering the interplay between semantics and prosody of emotional speech is crucial for successful social interactions. Individuals with ADHD have difficulties in identifying emotions in speech. Our results suggest a possible source for these difficulties -- the different weights adults with ADHD assign to the different speech channels.
