Facilitating Empathy Development in Pre-School Children: A Longitudinal Study Combining Tablet Game Based Microgenetic Method and EEG

Abstract

Preliminary findings from microgenetic data found that as children interacted with the purposely designed game their ability to attend to and perceive other’s emotional states and to take other’s perspective improved. Repeated measures analysis of the Event Related Potential (ERP) data indicate children’s increased sensitivity to social behaviour.
