Abstract

In this naturalistic, observational study, I investigate the types of feedback offered by first-grade teachers to their students during formative assessments. Analyzing feedback offered by teachers in the classroom context gives insight into possible long-term effects on student motivation and mindset and the direction research should take in this area.
