How Noisy Environments May be Impacting Selective Attention and Learning during Infancy

In order for learning to occur, infants must develop the ability to focus their attention on the important information in the environment while ignoring the distracting information. The current study revealed that when infants are presented with a naturalistic distracting noise, their learning is hindered.
