Abstract

A survey was administered to 165 college students investigating how individual, social and cultural variables influence workplace sarcasm. Respondents reported using sarcasm with close friends and siblings. More men used sarcasm when face saving and respondents whose first language was English reported that they used more sarcasm during face saving.
