Abstract

Little is known about links between opportunities for cognitive enrichment through museums and other cultural venues, and school success. Using the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Kindergarten Cohort, regression analyses reveal that enrichment activities significantly impact academic outcomes, particularly science, but that the strength of impact wanes as children get older.
