Abstract

This research explores how young children interact with touch-screen images. We compared the manual behaviors children between 7-10 and 15-18 months directed towards photographs, objects, and tablet images. The older age group exhibited more grasping behaviors towards screens indicating a basic understanding of the interactive nature of touch screens.
