Abstract

The present study investigated developmental changes in word category learning using large-scaled, vocabulary-checklist data from Japanese-speaking children (N=1,451) aged 8-48 months. Our results indicate that young children tend to use the identical word learning process in terms of total vocabulary size, regardless of their specific ages in months.
