Teaching Lifespan Development Using Symbols to Offset Students' Memory Strategy Production Deficiencies

Abstract

Lifespan Development students are capable of using memory strategies such as organization, but may fail to do so. Therefore, they may not see patterns within stages, e.g., how the physical aging of the brain contributes to cognitive dementia. This poster provides instructors with a symbol template to illustrate such patterns.
