Applying a Utility Value Intervention in the Higher Education Context - an Experimental Study

Abstract
To foster student motivation, we conducted a randomized field experiment with a utility value intervention. Students in the experimental conditions were asked to think about relevance of course contents for their future job. We found significant differences in perceived utility and intention to apply course contents.
