Abstract

We investigated the relationship between moral identity and bioethical opinions in medical experts. Endorsement of moral values in various domains of life were measured. Complexity of self-ratings across different domains was positively related to moral self-views. Moreover, activation of specific identity goals (bioethicist/physician) affected opinions about personalized medicine.
