Abstract

This study examined whether experiential learning of abnormal psychology through Second Life would help university students increase empathy and reduce stigma towards psychiatric patients. Results indicated that Second Life users showed trends of increased empathy and reduced stigma. It is important to include experiential learning activities in teaching abnormal psychology.
