Abstract

The concept of meaning in life is essential yet elusive. Grasping what meaning is composed of is challenging and connects with culture. Participants from five countries completed surveys on meaning in life. Results showed that the concept is important cross-culturally, and specific themes of meaning varied yet similarities were present.
