Segmenting: Using Videos to Improve Performance in Statistics

Abstract

Segmenting may help manage essential processing in statistics. We evaluated the impact of supplemental videos on student’s performance on in-class examinations. Students in the video condition achieved higher exam grades compared with students in the no-video condition, which supports the use of supplemental videos.
