Imagine All the People: How Social Imagination Changes the Way We View Ourselves, Empathize with Others, and Predict the Future of Society

Friday, May 24, 2019 · Washington, DC

Oral · Cognitive

People readily imagine or simulate events that involve others, yet strikingly little is known about the social nature and consequences of imagination. This symposium integrates findings across cognitive, affective, social, and clinical labs, revealing how imagining other people changes the way individuals view themselves, others, and the future of society.
