Attribution-Based Approaches for Reducing the Stigmatization of People with Depression

Guided by attribution theory, this symposium examines approaches for reducing the stigmatization of depression. Presentation #1 investigates whether an advertisement focusing on the temporality of depression reduces stigma. Presentation #2 assesses how changing social support outcome expectations influences stigmatization. Presentation #3 examines whether attribution theory generalizes to people in China.
