Global Mental Health and Substance Use: Considerations Regarding the Prevalence, Assessment and Treatment of Substance Use Disorders in Low-and-Middle Income Countries
The global burden of substance use disorders (SUDs) demonstrates a need for identifying, evaluating, and scaling up successful interventions for prevention and treatment in low and middle income countries (LMICs). This symposium will address sociocultural context of SUDs, prevalence, and prevention and treatment efforts across several LMICs.
