Mechanical Turk and Online Panels: Complementary Sources of Online Research Participants

The use of online platforms for participant recruitment is common in social science research. While Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is the most popular source of online research participants, it has its limitations. In a series of studies, we examined online research panels as an alternative to MTurk within a fit-for-purpose framework.
