Empathy Interventions: Who, What, When, and How?

How can we leverage insights from social psychology to improve empathy interventions? This interdisciplinary symposium will present empathy interventions against the backdrop of empathy failures, highlighting the critical role of motivation in shaping intervention outcomes. Characterizing and accounting for motives can improve intervention efficacy, facilitating adaptive socio-emotional outcomes.
