The Devil in the Details: Challenges of Using Social-Norm Interventions as Policy Instruments
Where formal institutions cannot enforce collectively desirable actions, policy-makers have begun looking to informal institutions, such as social norms, as potential policy levers. Social norm interventions are promising but no panacea. This symposium provides a more nuanced picture of social norm creation and change, highlighting policy challenges along the way.
