How We Reason About Innateness

Friday, May 24, 2019 · Washington, DC

Oral · General

Few questions in psychology are as controversial as the notion of innateness. Why is innateness such a hard question? Could our difficulties emanate from psychological biases that lie deep within the human inquirer? We address this question from an interdisciplinary perspective that combines insights from cognitive, affective science, and philosophy.
