A New Gun Attitude Measure: Development, Validation, and Evaluation with Community and Veteran Samples

Friday, May 24, 2019 · Washington, DC

Oral · Clinical Science

Gun violence is a serious public health concern. While gun attitudes are a potential risk factor for gun violence, existing measures of gun beliefs may not comprehensively assess motivations to own guns. This symposium will present data on a more complete and psychometrically-sound measure of gun perceptions.
