Before It Happens: The Role of Anticipation in Stress Regulation
Individual differences in how people anticipate threatening and challenging events are associated with the development of stress-related disorders. This symposium brings together scientists using different approaches to investigate psychological and physiological mechanisms occurring during the anticipation of threatening and challenging events, and their influence on the process of stress regulation.
