Advice to Advice Givers Revised: A Cross-Cultural Perspective

This poster investigated cultural difference in social norms of advice giving. Through a vignette design with open-ended questions, we found that in giving advice, both Chinese and Americans tend to undertake an indirect approach through different strategies, whereas Indians tend to undertake a direct approach through expressing true opinions.
