Abstract

Perceived neighborhood disorder predicts greater recruitment of neural resources (i.e., late positive potential) to process trustworthy faces. Additionally, individuals with higher perceived neighborhood disorder are slower to approach and avoid all faces. These findings suggest that perceived neighborhood disorder impacts processes underlying the perception of trustworthiness.
