Abstract

Research shows that documentary crime media is on the rise. Results of a two-part study show that interrogation knowledge predicts more guilty verdicts, weaker judgments of the prosecution’s case, and lower estimates of false confessions. Does documentary crime media effectively educate people on interrogations?
