Improving Written Argumentation through Interactive Writing

Abstract
This study examined the relationship between student engagement in asynchronous discourse and persuasive, elaborative, and scientific writing improvement. As an extension of previous research, we used multilevel modeling (MLM) to account for the clustering of students within classrooms.
