Abstract

Vignette-based quasi-experimental within-subjects design was used to test whether cultural identity can predict preference for jobs with individualistic or collectivistic values compared to individual’s nationality. Cultural identity predicted preference for job with individualistic job characteristics and the results supported a shift in cultural values. Flow did not moderate this relationship.
