Applying Stochastic Search Variable Selection to Modeling Who Evacuated Ahead of Hurricane Irma

In this project we sought to determine the most relevant subset of predictors of evacuation behavior in a sample of South Florida residents. We used Stochastic Search Variable Selection, a Bayesian variable selection technique, to identify the key predictors. A variety of demographic, psychological, and health factors emerged.
