Abstract

This study explored how two categories of moral foundations (“individualizing foundations” vs.“binding foundations”) can account for individual judgments on specific policy positions among Japanese college students. It was suggested that respondents’ moral intuitions accounted for some specific issue positions to a greater extent than demographic characteristics and political orientation.
