Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) has exhibited growing potential for application in clinical practice. This randomized-controlled trial investigates the efficacy of VR intervention compared with standard-of-care (SOC) for decreasing pain and anxiety in children undergoing IV placement. Results indicate that VR significantly reduced procedural pain and anxiety compared with SOC.
