Abstract

Key to equanimity, emotional non-reactivity is a primary mechanism theorized in mindfulness benefits. We hypothesized that people with high dispositional mindfulness may demonstrate lower levels of affect misattribution measured by the affect misattribution procedure (AMP). Despite adequate statistical power, sufficient evidence was inconsequential in accounting for variance in AMP performance.
