Abstract

Current findings are consistent with prior research linking the COMT Val158Met (rs4680) polymorphism to gambling problems in Whites. More specifically, COMT Met (A)-allele carriers (i.e., AG/AA individuals) and Met/Met homozygotes (i.e., AA individuals) reported greater gambling problems and had a higher risk of being classified as problem gamblers.
