Double Trouble: Misconceptions about Twins in Introductory Psychology Students

Abstract

Introductory psychology students responded to a 77-item inventory designed to measure their misconceptions regarding twins. Results indicated extensive misconceptions about twins and twin research. These findings suggest the need for educational strategies in introductory and advanced courses to help reduce these misunderstandings and improve psychological literacy.
