Efficacy of Parent’s Report on Adolescent Behavior As an Objective Measurement of Adolescent Self-Reported Health Behavior and Defensiveness

Abstract
This study explores the effect of the level of social desirability in the objectivity of an adolescent’s self-reported affective states and health behaviors. The measurement of objectivity was the agreement between adolescent and their parent’s agreement self-reports of the adolescent’s affective state and health behaviors.
