Abstract

Our study examines the roles that adaptive and maladaptive cognitive, interpersonal and behavioral ER response patterns play in predicting depression symptom trajectories over a year. Results show that maladaptive ER plays a greater role in the trajectory of depression symptoms over time than adaptive ER, though its effects are domain-specific.
