Abstract

Sex differences in mental rotation tasks favoring males are consistently found. Women in an undergraduate molecular modeling seminar used 3-D modeling to study hemoglobin. Mental rotation ability, measured by the MRT-A, did not improve over one semester, however, there was an improvement over two semesters as measured by the PSVT:R.
